SoapUI is awesome and powerful tool to test and run web
services. If you are going to work with soap web services, you better install
soapui before start works. Also SoapUI tool is very easy to use. What I am
trying here is to install SoapUI in my Linux environment.
For now there is no way to install SoapUI using yum command
in Redhat products.
But you can install SoapUI in your Linux machine using other
ways.
I have successfully installed SoapUI in two different ways
- Install soapui.exe using wine in Linux environment (not recommend -).
·
Actually this is an amazing way to install exe files
in Linux machines. You just need to install wine software in Linux machine
using “yum install wine” command. It will create windows similar environment in
your Linux machine. Now you can install most of the windows related .exe files
without any problems. What you need to do is right click on the exe file and
select “install using wine”. There are pros and cons in using wine but it is
awesome tool. I also successfully installed adobe Photoshop in my Linux machine
using wine.
- Install using Linux binary zip file.
·
Go to http://www.soapui.org
and select file to download as below image,
Click on “linux tarball (Java not included)” and
download the tar file.
·
After downloading the file, replace it in proper
place.
·
The redirect to the bin file using command
prompt
#cd /<soapuiHOME>/bin
·
Run below command and you will get the tool
interface,
#./soapui.sh
·
Now you are ready to use soapui,
Installing SoapUI in RHEL6 and RHEL7 involves a step-by-step process to ensure seamless API testing. Best Games Explore Following the correct procedure is crucial for effective utilization of this powerful tool. This installation paves the way for comprehensive testing.
